Talking Tapa
An exhibition showcasing the diversity of Islander cultural practices through the use of tapa in the context of their families, their homelands and shared history. The exhibition displays Fijian wedding dress, Papua New Guinean ceremonial skirts and cloaks, large Tongan Pieces and headresses from the Solomon Islands. Bark cloth lengths from Erromongo and unusual tapa clothing from Wallis and Futuna are also included.
