An evacuation order for a severe tropical cyclone will normally be issued to move residents out of the storm tide vulnerable area (ie. low lying) and NOT to relocate residents from their houses based on wind-threat. If you need to evacuate be sure to read the evacuation advice.
When a Cyclone warning is current – If your property is not coloured you are NOT in an evacuation zone. You should stay in your home and be sure to read Council’s advice on Planning for disasters.
